Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Database of Indicators

ARROW and her partners have actively and consistently monitored the commitment of governments towards fully implementing the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Programme of Action. This Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Database uses a set of 79 cross-country critical indicators, and measures progress and marks trends towards ICPD implementation in the areas of reproductive health, reproductive rights, sexual health, sexual rights, women's empowerment and health financing. The ICPD+15 monitoring project was a collaborative monitoring partnership with 22 partners (women's NGOs and research and academic organizations), across 12 countries in the Asian region and the ICPD+20 monitoring project is a collaborative initiative with 4 partners (women's networks, NGO's and research organizations) across 50 countries in 5 regions in the Global South (Africa, Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean and Middle East and North America).
 
 
Reproductive Health and Rights Indicators
The reproductive health and rights indicators chosen by ARROW and her partners comprise the following:
Total Fertility Rates;Wanted Fertility Rates;Contraceptive Prevalence Rates (All Women) - Any Method;Contraceptive Prevalence Rates (All Women) - Any Modern Method;Contraceptive Prevalence Rates- Male Sterilization users as proportion of all contraceptive users;Male steralisation users as proportion of all contraceptive users;Condom users as proportion of all contraceptive users;Unmet Need for Contraception;Maternal Mortality Ratio;Skilled Health Attendants;Antenatal Care coverage (%) 2000-2006 at least once;Antenatal care coverage (%) 2000-2006 at least four times;Population of Women aged 15 and older who are at risk of developing cervical cancer;Mortality of cervical cancer(new deaths);Incidence of cervical cancer;Abortion Rate;Legal Status of Abortion in the Region;Changes in law/policy on abortion since ICPD;Extent to which abortion law is known, accepted and acted upon by health providers and the public;Unsafe abortion and percentage of maternal deaths attributed to unsafe abortion;Contraceptive Prevalence Currently Married Women - Any Method;Contraceptive Prevalence Currently Married Women - Any Modern Method;Contraceptive Prevalence Method (Condom);Contraceptive Prevalence Method (Male Steralization).

The women empowerment indicators chosen by ARROW and her partners comprise the following:
